Welcome to  the SILENT PRAYER of SCRIPTURE web site.

‘Simply, being with the Lord in the garden in the cool of the day. Genesis 3:8

"The greatest thing in all the world is to know we are loved by God and to love Him in return."

People are invited to our established national ‘silent worship’ group, to see how it works, and when comfortable, start a local group themselves.

We meet together (on Zoom at the moment because of Covid-19 restrictions.)

We engage in silent worship of the Trinity, Father, Jesus and Holy Spirit.

“My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit exults in God my Saviour, for He has regarded my lowly state.” Luke 1:46-47. This captures the practice better than anything I could express.

All we do is magnify and exalt the Lord, whether in
• meditation on Scripture,
• contemplation (being with the Lord in the garden in the cool of the day. Genesis 3:8)
• oneness, (all creatures in heaven and earth around the throne. Revelation 5)

We acknowledge His Greatness and the great things He has done for us. (Luke 1:4-49)

We forsake all, we simply give all. (Luke 14:33)

What the Lord does, is minister to us with rest, peace, joy, in deepening an intimate personal relationship with Him, and empowering us to be salt and light in this world.

We exalt God if we are blessed in any way.

There is no liturgy, dogma or ministry for we meet in quiet, silent stillness.

We can embrace this prayer alone, and in a group setting.

Amongst other things, we have found the fruit manifest at three levels

For the individual – a deepening of an intimate personal relationship, and the empowering by the Holy Spirit, to be ‘salt and light’ in the world.
For your community or church – the pareto rule, 20% of the members produce 80% of the umph! – they become a part of the 20%.
For your local community – there is a grace and empowerment to witness to Jesus.
Around the throne ... all creatures in heaven and on earth ... worshipping God. Revelation 5.

The 'all creatures on earth' bit is us now. Enjoy your place in the greatest community that was, is, or ever will be. For the truth is we are one now. We just need to affirm it, and we can, together, in silent worship.

Our meetings are open to ALL Christians - Orthodox, Catholic, Protestant, None-denominational, the marginalised, those who ‘labour and suffer reproach because they trust in the Living God’ 1 Timothy 4:10

At the heart of this initiative is the will of Jesus that we be one, so that the world will believe and know Him. Please read John 17:20 – 26 yourself.

I just want to highlight three aspects of the prayer, all relevant to ‘silent worship’ together.

1. ‘they all may be one’ … ‘they also may be one in Us’ … ‘they may be one just as we are one’ … ‘they may be made perfect in one’ …

2. ‘the world may believe that You sent me’ … ‘the world may know that You have sent me and have loved them as You love me’

3. ‘Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory which You have given Me.’

All these three aspects are manifest in this prayer practice.

Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him! Psalm 34:8
