This is an account from David:
Surely, I have calmed and quieted my soul, like a weaned child with his mother; like a weaned child is my soul within me. Psalm 131:2
King David penned these words at the height of his military power. He was a warrior with all the cares and concerns of running a kingdom, a man who faced up to and killed Goliath with just a stone and a sling.
He was able to be calm and quiet like a weaned child with its mother, and so can you in Silent Prayer. |
