Jesus loved to go up on the mountain to engage in the ‘Silent Prayer of Scripture’, to be with His Father.

Nine references in the gospels paint this picture.

Jesus went by Himself to deserted places, solitary places, up on mountains, the wilderness, to pray, sometimes all night.

Sometimes He called others with Him, on mountains, deserted places to rest, or to be alone with them.  Sometimes they joined Him while He was praying.

If we follow His example, we engage in the silent prayer alone or together. It is a part of our lives.

In fellowship we support each other, pray this silent prayer together, and promote its practice.

We can set up prayer meetings, give talks, or simply make the A7 books available to our brothers and sisters.
